Compass Working Capital is a nonprofit organization that helps working, low-income families save toward a first-time home, a college education, or a small business. We provide financial education, individual coaching, and matched savings accounts to support families in achieving their goals.
Expanding and strengthening our core IDA program has been the focus of our efforts over the last two years. Building on this successful first IDA product, Compass is currently analyzing other growth opportunities that would enable us to promote asset building more broadly for working poor families. Notably, Compass seeks to expand low-income families’ access to affordable asset building products in the marketplace, such as 529 college savings plans.
