Christine Torres | Financial Coaching Associate
Christine Torres is a Boston native with a heart that is driven by a passion for people. This passion has created many opportunities for her to serve and is what motivates her work daily. She has experience in connecting families of low-income to resources and services in Massachusetts. Christine has counseled Dorchester residents as a College Assistance/Financial Guide for the Earned Income Tax Coalition, where she provided benefits screenings and credit advising. She also served as the College Transitional Coach for Hyde Square Task Force, where she mentored high school and first-year college students. With no hesitation to stand as an advocate, Christine has volunteered with The Neighborhood Developers/CONNECT in Chelsea, MA where she facilitated ESL Conversation Groups and acted as a spokesperson for the CONNECT Symposium in 2014. At Compass, Christine hopes to encourage low-income families to gain financial independence and break the cycle of poverty.
She is pursuing a dual degree in Liberal Studies & Bible and Theology at Lee University.
