Basirat Folami | Financial Coaching Manager
Basirat is a Financial Coaching Manager at Compass Working Capital. In her role, she enjoys helping her clients achieve their goals and dreams and managing a team of Financial Coaches. Basirat worked at Compass as a Financial Coach from 2020 - 2022. Prior to rejoining Compass, she was a Wealth Planning Associate at Ballentine Partners.
Before her time at Compass as a Coach, Basirat had a variety of professional and volunteer experiences in financial management consulting, data analysis, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She also served for multiple years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, where her projects centered on community economic development, corporate social responsibility, and children’s rights. During this time, she also facilitated and managed youth programs focused on gender equality and entrepreneurship. Basirat graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting and a minor in Psychology. She later went on to get a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Global Supply Chain Management.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, working out, going for walks, trying new restaurants and recipes, and watching movies and shows with her friends and family. Basirat is fluent in Spanish and has limited proficiency in Yoruba.
